UPDATE: Man arrested after stabbing in West Kelowna

WEST KELOWNA – A 45-year-old man remains in hospital with life threatening injuries after he was stabbed early Wednesday afternoon.

RCMP were called about a stabbing near the intersection of Solar Road and Elliot Road in West Kelowna just before 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29.

“When police attended they located a 45-year-old man suffering from a serious stab wound,” Cpl. Joe Duncan says in a media release.

There are reports the victim was stabbed in the chest.

Duncan says RCMP have arrested a 50-year-old West Kelowna man who is being held in custody. He has a court appearance scheduled for today.

Duncan says the victim and the suspect know each other and stresses the public is not at risk.
