Author Visits Branches as Part of Kids Book Week

KAMLOOPS – The Thompson-Nicola Regional District’s Library System is hosting a series of readings by Canadian author Joel Sutherland, seen at right, as part of TD Canadian Children’s Book Week.

The readings will take place at three different branches — Kamloops Library on Tuesday, May 5 at 1:15 p.m.; the Barriere Library on Wednesday, May 6, 1 p.m.; and at the North Kamloops Library, Thursday, May 7 at 10:45 a.m.

Sutherland is an author and librarian. He is the author of children’s books Be a Writing Superstar, Haunted Canada 4 and Frozen Blood, a horror novel that was nominated for the Bram Stoker Award. His latest book is Haunted Canada 4, part of a popular series, and he is currently working on Haunted Canada 5 as well as a young adult horror novel.

The event is free but sign-up is recommended. Please contact your local branch to reserve a spot.
