CBC to air Stratford productions of ‘Taming of the Shrew,’ ‘Hamlet,’ ‘Pericles’
STRATFORD, Ont. – CBC-TV has announced air dates for the latest trio of Stratford Festival HD productions.
The public broadcaster will air commercial-free broadcasts of “The Taming of the Shrew” on Sunday, “Hamlet” on Aug. 28 and “The Adventures of Pericles”on Sept. 4.
The three titles will also be available for streaming on the CBC’s website.
Starting next year, the films will be available for download through iTunes and Google Play in Canada.
Beginning in 2014, the festival embarked on a mission to film all Shakespeare plays over the course of a decade.
