PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brett Kulak scored the winner with 35 seconds left as the Laval Rocket rallied to beat the Providence Bruins 3-2 on Saturday night.
The goal completed a three-goal surge in the third for the Rocket (1-0-0) in their American Hockey League season opener.
Michael Chaput and Byron Froese also scored for the Rocket.
Mark McNeill and Jeremy Lauzon scored for the Bruins (0-2-0).
Charlie Lindgren made 18 saves for Laval, while Dan Vladar blocked 31 shots for Providence.
The Rocket travel to Hartford to face the Wolf Pack on Sunday.
