Name of deceased in Yellowhead Hwy. crash released

KAMLOOPS – The B.C. Coroner’s service has released the name of the pickup truck driver who died in a collision near Rayleigh on June 9.

He was Timothy John Watson, 53, of Kamloops.

Watson was travelling northbound in his truck when he was struck by a second truck after it crossed the centre line of the Yellowhead Highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and have asked witnesses to come forward.

Brayden Methot from Williams Lake was a passenger in the second truck. He remains under hospital care.
