Dix rallies Penticton troops
NDP leader Adrian Dix flew into Penticton Monday night to make a last-minute visit with supporters.
Dix and NDP candidate Richard Cannings got a large crowd cheering at the party's Penticton office on Main Street.
"I'm so proud to stand here with all of you," he said, adding the NDP has run a positive campaign and will move on problems immediately.
"We are not going to wait until 2025, we are going to take action on (issues) now." Dix said fuel pipeline decisions should be made in B.C., there should be a ban on corporate and union election donations and more resources for classrooms.
He praised Cannings as a candidate, repeated the NDP's pledge for a better economic future and a change in provincial politics and then got back on his campaign bus to visit another community.
The Penticton visit was part of Dix's grueling 24-hour tour of B.C. a day before the 2013 provincial election.
