
Floaters rescued from Penticton channel
PENTICTON – The fire department rescued a man and woman stuck in the Penticton channel late Saturday afternoon.
The marine rescue call came in just after 5 p.m., May 9.
Penticton fire chief Wayne Williams says the man and woman had been on floaties in the very swift water and ended up stuck on the a fish strainer in the channel.
Firefighters launched their boat and rescued the pair.
Williams says the couple were cold, but otherwise unhurt.

You can’t go past the half way because of the bridge being built at Green Ave.

Another reason not to float down the channel is the bridge being built across it at Green Ave, you can’t float or walk past it. lol

Exactly, it’s May! High water, fast currents. They would have been safer hiding in a closet doing drugs. How about you pay for the rescue?

well it is May so who cares if they float down the dang channel omg they are young and have energy…they could be in a closet somewhere doing drugs for pitty sakes people. they got caught up not on purpose I can bet on that.
