ANCHORAGE, Alaska – A man who walked away two weeks ago from Point Mackenzie Correctional Farm was spotted at a lake cabin in the Matanuska-Susitna Borough.
Alaska State Troopers say 59-year-old Brian Church was seen breaking into a cabin on Flat Lake west of Big Lake.
A witness snapped Church’s photo and called troopers.
Troopers on Tuesday sent their Special Emergency Response Team to the Flat Lake cabin. Church was no longer at the cabin.
Troopers say they found evidence that Church was on foot and heading south.
Troopers are warning people to call 911 if they see Church and to avoid approaching him because he may be dangerous.
Church is 6-foot-1 (185.4 centimetres), about 205 pounds (93 kilograms), with brown and partially grey hair and brown eyes.
