Nelly to perform with St. Louis Symphony in hometown return

ST. LOUIS – Nelly will be performing back in his hometown of St. Louis next year, but the venue is unique.

The rapper and the St. Louis Symphony announced Tuesday they will perform together Feb. 3 at Powell Symphony Hall. The symphony says the program will feature “symphonic twists” on Nelly’s hits such as “Hot in Herre,” ”Just a Dream” and “Country Grammar.”

Nelly has received two Grammy awards and is among the bestselling rap artists ever. His debut album, Country Grammar, released in 2000, has sold more than 10 million copies.
