WASHINGTON – Italian Primary Minister Matteo Renzi will pay an official visit to the White House next month and be feted at a state dinner.

White House spokesman Josh Earnest said Monday the Oct. 18 meeting would be a chance for Renzi and President Barack Obama to discuss issues such as the global refugee crisis, climate change and economic growth.

Earnest said Renzi and his wife, Agnese Ladini, would attend a state dinner that evening.
