Canadian Soccer Association unveils 2018 futsal, Para Soccer award-winners

TORONTO – Jacob Orellana has been named Canadian Futsal Player of the Year while Damien Wojtiw has been chosen Canadian Para Soccer Player of the Year.

Orellana represented Canada in a pair of international matches against Costa Rica in January and then helped his club, Toronto Idolo Futsal, win the 2018 Futsal Canadian Championship in April.

Wojtiw, a goalkeeper, won the Golden Gloves performance at the 2018 Copa America IFCPF 2018 Ecuador. He was in goal for all seven of Canada’s international matches in 2018.

Earlier this week, goalkeeper James Pantemis won the Allstate Canadian National Teams Good Hands Award.
