Salaries and expenses paid in 2012 for city workers will be outlined in a public presentation today, along with Kelowna's Annual Report.
A grand total of $59,097,062 was spent on the city's 2012 payroll.
Salaries for city councillors totalled $347,178 with an additional $24,025 in work related expenses. That number includes Mayor Walter Gray's annual salary of $93,351.
Some of the biggest paychecks went to:
City manager Ronald Mattiussi with $254,554
Design and construction services director William Berry with $126,899
Department fire chief Jason Brolund with $123,154
Deputy fire chief Louis Wilde with $126,112
Civic operations director Joe Creron with $144,363
Executive director of business development Jim Paterson with $167,547
Airport director Sam Samaddar with $156,268
Community services general manager John Vos with $188,868
Kelowna's firefighters also took up a big chunk of the city's payroll. Some of the fire department's highest paid employees include:
Platoon captain Dale Calhoun with $115,067
Platoon captain Timothy V Light with $115,847
Fire prevention officer Gregory Daft with $105,472
Training officer Kenneth Jacobson with $117,071
Captain John Kelly with $106,866
