KAMLOOPS – The road leading to an area popular with hunters, ATVers and dirt bikers is about to be upgraded, and with the upgrades will come periodic closures to the busy forest service road.
The provincial government is upgrading a portion of Jamieson Creek Forest Service Road and starting Feb. 29, the road will be periodically closed between four and nine kilometres for up to two hours. The construction is expected to end by March 18.
The upgrades are to widen a portion of the road for improved driver safety.
The road is on the west side of the North Thompson River and about 20 kilometres north of Kamloops.
