WEST KELOWNA – A man with no fixed address is facing multiple charges after being found with a stolen vehicle in West Kelowna this past weekend.
According to a news release today, March 29, an officer noticed a blue Chevrolet Tracker that had been reported stolen the day before, on Carrington Road around 9:15 a.m., March 26.
The driver got away in the vehicle, but a report of a suspicious person on Boucherie Road a short time later led RCMP to the vehicle.
The 40-year-old suspect was arrested without incident and held in custody over the weekend.
Officers also found multiple stolen items and a set of brass knuckles in the vehicle.
The man now faces potential charges including possession of property obtained by a crime, failure to comply with a probation order, possession of a prohibited weapon and drug charges.
He was expected to appear in court today, March 29.
