Fire at North Okanagan high school believed to be arson

ENDERBY – A fire inside a North Okanagan high school is being investigated as an arson.

Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP are confirming last Friday’s fire is believed to have been deliberately set.

The fire forced the evacuation of roughly 250 staff and students at A.L. Fortune Secondary in Enderby on Friday, April 8. Everyone got out safely, but school was cancelled for a day and a half.

Police have identified a suspect and the investigation is ongoing.

No other information is being released by the RCMP.
