Kamloops woman's remains found at White Lake

KAMLOOPS – Police say the human skull found June 1 near White Lake belongs to Samantha Paul, a 26-year-old woman who went missing last year.

While police received dozens of tips, Samantha’s reason for disappearance was not resolved. The remains do not indicate foul play, however it has not been ruled out RCMP stated in a press release.

The Kamloops Serious Crimes unit is now undertaking an extensive search of the area where the skull was found in hopes of finding more evidence.

Officers are asking residents of Campbell Lake and White Lake if anyone remembers seeing anything suspicious or out of place since Samantha’s disappearance in September 2013. Police say there may be a small detail which could prove valuable in the investigation.
