Sunshine and warmth this week in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – After a week filled with record temperatures, thunderstorms and rain we can expect a more balanced week this week.

Today, April 25, is expected to be the coolest this week, with a high of 18 Celsius in the forecast. Environment Canada is then calling for highs of 20 C to 24 C the rest of the week, just above the seasonal normal high temperature of 19 C.

Overnight lows are also expected to remain above seasonal normals of 5 C, with lows of 6 C to 9 C forecast.

The weather office is calling for a mix of sun and cloud throughout the week, along with winds gusting up to 40 kilometres per hour today.

Last week temperatures reached as high as 30.5 C in Kamloops, setting two new high temperature records along the way. Thunderstorms hit Thursday and Friday along with slightly cooler temperatures.
