KAMLOOPS – The B.C. Coroners Service has identified a motorcyclist killed in a collision with a pickup truck in Kamloops Sunday.
He was Michael Joseph Bourget, 32, of Kamloops.
At the time, Kamloops RCMP Sgt. Michael Buxton-Carr said the pickup truck was headed west when it met the eastbound motorcycle in the 300 block of Victoria St. W. The accident happened around 7 p.m. The 53-year-old pickup truck driver suffered only minor injuries. The 32-year-old rider was taken to Royal Inland Hospital by ambulance but didn't survive.
As second pickup truck was also involved in the accident, according to the coroner.
Bourget's family have been notified of his death. The coroner and RCMP continue to investigate his death.
