2 reported wounded in Turkey border town blast

ISTANBUL – Turkey’s state run news agency says two people have been wounded in an explosion at a home in the border town of Reyhanli, near Syria.

Anadolu Agency said Wednesday the two were seriously hurt in the blast and taken for treatment at the local state hospital.

Firefighters, police and bomb squads were dispatched to the scene. The report gave no further details.

Other media reports said the two were Syrians. Reyhanli has a substantial Syrian refugee community.

Turkey is still reeling from last week’s deadly triple suicide attack that hit Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport. The authorities suspect the Islamic State group.
