
New England Revolution take defender Andrew Farrell first in MLS SuperDraft
INDIANAPOLIS – The New England Revolution have taken Louisville defender Andrew Farrell with the first pick of the MLS SuperDraft.
Toronto traded the pick to New England ahead of the draft in exchange for the fourth pick and allocation money.
TFC also has the third overall selection.
Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver entered the draft with two picks apiece in the first round.
Chivas USA previously announced it planned to take Connecticut midfielder Carlos Alvarez with the second overall pick.
