ENDERBY – Police have deemed the deaths of a man and woman living on the Splatsin First Nation reserve near Enderby a domestic relationship murder-suicide.

Police say the 46-year-old woman and 69-year-old man were married and the only residents of the Spruce Crescent home where the incident took place on Nov. 18. Their names have not been released.

“The couple were located by family members attending the residence to check on their well-being after the male had failed to show up for work,” Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a media release.

The police investigation revealed a single firearm was used, and there is no evidence to indicate third party involvement. No arrests are anticipated.

The Southeast District Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the murder of the woman, and assist the B.C. Coroners Service in the non-criminal death investigation of the man.
