Kamloops 2026 55+ BC Games bring sport and community together

Kamloops is getting ready to welcome athletes from across British Columbia for the Kamloops 2026 55+ BC Games, a multi-sport event celebrating competition, active living and community.

The Games will take place September 8 to 12, 2026, at various venues throughout Kamloops. The event will bring together more than 2,500 participants for several days of sports and activities.

The 55+ BC Games are about more than winning medals. They give adults aged 55 and older an opportunity to stay active, meet new people and enjoy the excitement of competing alongside others from around the province.

This year’s Games will feature a wide variety of sports, including pickleball, golf, swimming, tennis, soccer, hockey, cycling, track and field, slo-pitch, archery and table tennis. There will also be demonstration sports, including cornhole, a 5-kilometre trail run and gravel bike racing.

For visitors and local spectators, the Games are also a chance to experience Kamloops as Canada’s Tournament Capital. With competitions taking place at different venues around the city, the event will bring athletes, families, volunteers and supporters together throughout the week.

The Games are expected to create a lively atmosphere around Kamloops as participants compete while also enjoying the city’s outdoor spaces, restaurants and local attractions.

Whether you’re watching a sport you already enjoy or discovering something new, the 55+ BC Games offer a chance to see athletes from across B.C. staying active and enjoying the spirit of competition.
