VERNON – Water, and nerves, are rising this morning for residents living along the BX Creek in Vernon.
Creek levels are high in the 4900 block of 20 Street, according to a media release from the City of Vernon.
“This area was also affected by last weekend’s high water,” communications officer Tanya Laing Gahr says in the release.
Sand and sandbags have been delivered to help those working on site, she says.
With more rain in the forecast today and continued runoff, residents are reminded that sand and sandbags are available in the following locations:
