Vernon drug trafficking investigation leads to arrest

VERNON – A local man was arrested last week in connection with a dial-a-dope drug trafficking investigation.

Last Friday, June 2, 2017 police completed the investigation and arrested a 27-year-old Vernon man, Dana Kirton, in the 1000 block of Kalamalka Lake Road, Cpl. Dan Moskaluk says in a release.

At the time of arrest Kirton was found in possession of cocaine and heroin believed to be for the purpose of trafficking along with other drug trafficking paraphernalia, Moskaluk says.

Police did not release the quantities of drugs seized.

Kirton appeared before a judicial justice of the peace and was released on conditions for a court appearance on June 22.
