Milwaukee Brewers confirm Ryan Braun is personally calling season ticket holders to apologize

MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers confirm Ryan Braun is personally calling season ticket holders and apologizing for using performance-enhancing drugs.

Brewers executive Rick Schlesinger tells WTMJ radio it was Braun’s idea. He says Braun told him the fans he’s called are skeptical about whether it’s really Braun, but once they realize it’s him, they’re receptive to his apology.

Wes Aldridge is among the fans whom Braun called. Aldridge figured his friends were having a little fun with him. But after talking to the caller for a while, he realized it was Braun and got right to the point. He asked Braun why he used the drugs. Aldridge says Braun told him a friend had talked him into using PEDs and it’s a mistake he regrets.
