Naramata resident interrupts break and enter
PENTICTON – A Naramata homeowner appears to have thwarted a break in to his residence early this morning.
Penticton RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Ted Manchulenko says police were called to the Smethurst Road residence around 4:30 a.m. today, Dec. 12, after the homeowner woke to unusual noises.
He saw a person leaving his yard and, shortly after, the sound of a loud vehicle driving off.
Police conducted patrols of the area and located an abandoned 1998 Saturn near King Drive, which police believe at this time was also stolen from the Naramata area.
Police investigation continues this morning.
