Snow expected on Okanagan Connector
KELOWNA – It might be a good time to break out your snow tires. The rain showers expected Friday could turn into snow along the highway from Merritt to Kelowna.
Higher elevations on the Okanagan Connector, including the Pennask Summit, could get anywhere from 2 – 4 cm of snowfall. A weather system coming in from the Pacific over Southern B.C. is expected to supply that moisture.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement, expecting the snow level to drop to 1600 m by Friday morning.
The forecasters are advising the public to watch upcoming forecasts and warnings by visiting the Environment Canada Weather Office homepage.
