The results surpassed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 2 cents per share.
The precious metals royalty and streaming company posted revenue of $14.9 million in the period.
Maverix Metals shares have dropped 1% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 17% in the last 12 months.
