University of Oklahoma says shots fired on campus; tells all to shelter in place

NORMAN, Okla. – Officials at the University of Oklahoma say a shooting has occurred on its campus and are telling everyone to shelter in place.

The school posted a notice on its website Wednesday that people should avoid Gould Hall. A notice sent by its Twitter account said: “Seek immediate shelter in place.”

The university is located in Norman, about 20 miles (30 kilometres) south of Oklahoma City.
