SAN DIEGO – Texas Rangers slugger Josh Hamilton wasn’t in the lineup for Monday night’s game against the Padres, although manager Ron Washington said he would be available as a pinch-hitter.
Hamilton was released from a hospital Saturday after becoming dehydrated because of an intestinal virus.
Washington said he expects Hamilton to be in the lineup Tuesday night.
The manager said Hamilton took early batting practice and got in a full workout.
