Appeals court rejects state and industry challenges to EPA emission standards for power plants
WASHINGTON – A federal appeals court has upheld the Environmental Protection Agency’s emission standards for hazardous air pollutants from coal- and oil-fired power plants.
The appeals court rejected state and industry challenges to rules designed to clean up mercury, arsenic, acid gases and other dangerous air pollutants.
