Kamloops RCMP busted a 'large volume' marijuana grow-operation in Barnhartvale yesterday and are recommending charges against a 60-year-old man in connection with the raid.
Kamloops RCMP Special Project Unit along with Rural RCMP members executed a search warrant at about 9:20 a.m. on the 2900 block of Robin Creek Road and found 1,200 marijuana plants in various stages of growth located in a fifth wheel trailer and semi truck trailer.
"That's a large number of plants," said Kamloops RCMP Const. Bernie Ward.
A loaded firearm was found inside the residence and a 60-year-old man was arrested on the scene.
Police are recommending multiple charges to the Crown including production of a controlled substance, possession for the purpose of trafficking, theft of electricity and firearms related offences.
