Broadway’s ‘The Realistic Joneses’ to close in July after not earning any Tony Award nods

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Ignored by the Tony Award nominating committee, the play “The Realistic Joneses” will abandon its Broadway home in July.

Producers said Tuesday that the Will Eno play will have its final performance on July 6, after a total of 132 shows.

The play stars Michael C. Hall, Toni Collette, Marisa Tomei and Tracy Letts, but none of the actors or the play earned Tony nods.

In the play, two couples both with the surname Jones discover they have more in common than just their names. It earned mixed reviews but has been a big draw at the box office.
