Mudtown Music and Arts Festival cancelled due to poor ticket sales

TORONTO – The Mudtown Music & Arts Festival has been cancelled due to poor ticket sales, organizers say.

The second annual instalment of the festival was to take place in Owen Sound, Ont., in August.

Performers scheduled included Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra, Bry Webb, Odonis Odonis and Yamantaka // Sonic Titan.

In a long note posted to the festival’s website, Mudtown Records co-owners Joshua Richardson and Kai Hulshof said they simply didn’t sell enough tickets to “justify the long hours” or “financial risk.”

Ticket holders can choose to either get a refund or use their tickets for entry into the Mudtown Music & Arts Series events, which begin in the fall.
