Toronto-Dominion Bank (TSX:TD). Bank. Down $1.57, or 2.78 per cent, to $54.85 on 4.8 million shares.
Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Down 56 cents, or 1.37 per cent, to $40.29 on 3.6 million shares.
Manulife Financial Corp. (TSX:MFC). Insurance. Down 32 cents, or 1.47 per cent, to $21.42 on 3.6 million shares.
Bank of Nova Scotia (TSX:BNS). Bank. Down $1.20, or 1.71 per cent, to $68.91 on 3.5 million shares.
BCE Inc. (TSX:BCE). Communication services. Down 73 cents, or 1.52 per cent, to $47.33 on 3.5 million shares.

Cogeco Cable Inc. (TSX:CCA). Communication services. Down $1.44, or 2.44 per cent, to $57.66 on 63,436 shares. The company says it will urge Ottawa to clear the way for a new type of wireless network that’s been used successfully in other countries but hasn’t been available in Canada. Louis Audet, Cogeco’s chief executive, said he will press his case for Mobile Virtual Network Operators or MVNOs in which large network owners are forced to sell airtime to smaller carriers at regulated prices at CRTC hearings next week.
