Rancid, off-colour infant formula recalled in Canada

A popular brand of infant formula is being removed from shelves in Canada after illnesses were reported after consumption.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said the Calcilo XD Powder in 375 g size is sold under the brand name Abbott. It's being recalled "due to rancidity and off-colour," according to the agency.

If you have it at home, you should throw it out or return it to the store you got it from.

The recall was triggered by the company and the agency is investigating. More recalls may become necessary.
