RCMP investigate death of elderly Lake Country man

The death of an elderly Lake Country man is being investigated by the RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service.

Lake Country RCMP responded Oct. 15 at 7:10 a.m. to a sudden death of a man in his 90s at residence on Read Road, police said in a vague release. The General Investigations Section and the B.C. Coroners Service are both investigating.

"This investigation is in its early stages as investigators continue to examine the man’s cause of death," Const. Lesley Smith said, in a press release.

"Police have not made a determination about any criminality at this time."
