Two killed in head-on crash on Highway 97 near Clinton

Two men were killed in a head-on crash on Highway 97 outside of Clinton yesterday.

RCMP say the collision between a grey Chevrolet Cavalier and a grey Mitsubishi Outlander happened at around 2:13 p.m. Thursday, April 23, on Highway 97 near Cunningham Road in 70 Mile House.

Emergency crews arrived to find the driver of the Chevrolet, a 70 Mile house man, dead at the scene, according to an RCMP media release.

Police say despite efforts by the medical personnel, a Tumbler Ridge man driving the Mitsubishi was also pronounced dead at the scene.

RCMP are not releasing their identities.

RCMP Southeast District Central Interior Traffic Services and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating.
