Royal Inland Hospital took some damage when an RV struck the building Monday afternoon.
All entrances to the Kamloops hospital remain open, but signs of an impact remain on the ceiling at the entrance to the main building.
A photo posted to social media shows the RV struck the ceiling under a portion of the building. The vehicle was gone by at least by around 2 p.m., May 26.
An Interior Health spokesperson said access to the hospital by foot was not impeded, but vehicles couldn’t directly get to the Gaglardi Tower entrance for roughly an hour as the RV and debris were cleared.
The extent of the damage isn’t known, but it appeared to only affect ceiling tiles and insulation.
