B.C. gang associate arrested after breaking court conditions: police

VANCOUVER – A man police say is a long-time B.C. gang associate is facing several charges after being arrested for violating his court conditions.

Police say 29-year-old Ryan Gregory Milliard was found living in New Westminster, when his bail conditions said he should have been in Surrey.

A police search of his home also discovered cocaine, marijuana, two loaded semi-automatic pistols and about $120,000 in cash.

He’s now facing drug and weapons charges as well as a charge of breaching his court orders, and has been remanded in custody.

Sgt. Lindsey Houghton of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit says Milliard’s arrest will disrupt the activity of the Dhak crime group, which he says already suffered a blow with February’s arrest of three men in the Jonathan Bacon murder.

The suspects — Jujhar Khun Khun, Jason McBride and Mike Jones — are charged with Bacon’s murder and the attempted murder of four of his associates in Kelowna in 2011.
