iN VIDEO: Curious bear plays with swinging Halloween skeleton in Revelstoke

Revelstoke is known for its black bear activity, especially in the fall when they can be often be seen wandering around the mountain town looking for snacks.

One curious bear climbed a tree at a local residence to play with a swinging Halloween skeleton, to the delight of the family watching.

“This was in the downtown neighbourhood not far from our house,” the mum behind the video, Chantelle Romeo told iNFOnews.ca in a message.

“My four children and I were able to safely watch the black bear from inside our vehicle and it gave us a great laugh. I thought others might enjoy watching this beautiful animal and get a kick out of its festive shenanigans.”

The bear is seen reaching down from its perch to pull at the ropes of the swinging skeleton ornament before poking its head down to snatch the wig off of it, while the kids giggle in the background. The bear then bats the skeleton around before climbing down and waddling away.
