Canfor Corp. reports first-quarter profit, sales up from year ago

VANCOUVER – Lumber producer Canfor Corp. (TSX:CFP) said Wednesday it earned $67.5 million or 43 cents per share for the quarter ended March 31 compared with a loss of $12.9 million or 13 cents per share a year ago. Sales totalled $786.3 million, up from $593.8 million.
