Julian Quinones scores in the 42nd minute for Mexico to reduce their deficit to 2-1 with a few minutes left in the first half.

Jude Bellingham, with his third goal of the World Cup, gives England a 1-0 lead with a goal in the 36th minute. Two minutes later, Bellingham scores again and England takes control at 2-0.

They’re ready to play in Mexico City after a one-hour weather delay. England and Mexico are on the pitch for their Round of 16 match at the World Cup.

The kickoff for the World Cup round of 16 match between Mexico and England has been delayed by one hour as a thunderstorm rolled through Estadio Azteca. This is the second time weather has disrupted El Tri’s tournament run; their round of 32 match against Ecuador on Tuesday was pushed back an hour due to similar conditions.

Erling Haaland scored in the 79th minute and two minutes into injury time as Norway ousted Brazil with a 2-1 win in the Round of 16. Neymar trimmed the deficit for Brazil with a penalty kick 11 minutes into injury time.

United States forward Folarin Balogun has had his one-game ban suspended by FIFA, allowing him to play in the country’s game against Belgium in the Round of 16 on Monday. Balogun, who leads the Americans with three goals, was shown a red card in his side’s 2-0 win over Bosnia-Herzegovina on Wednesday in the Round of 32. A red card comes with an automatic one-match suspension.
