QUERÉTARO — Canada’s Bianca Andreescu defeated Spain’s Alicia Herrero Linana 6-1, 6-1 in quarterfinal play Friday night at the Queretaro Open.

Andreescu, the No. 4 seed from Mississauga, Ont., needed just 55 minutes to breeze to her ninth victory in a row.

She was scheduled to play Carole Monnet of France in the semifinals of the WTA 125 tournament on Saturday.
