Police identify suspect in shooting case

KAMLOOPS – Kamloops RCMP are on the lookout for a 26-year-old man believed to be involved in a shooting that put a second man in hospital Friday, March 6.

Cpl. Cheryl Bush says investgators from the Serious Crime Unit have determined there was an "altercation" between two men at a North Shore residence Friday night, adding both men are known to police.

A 27-year-old man was taken to Royal Inland Hospital.

"The man's injuries included what appears to be a gun shot wound to his leg," Bush says in a media release.

Police have identified the suspect and are looking to make an arrest.
