Attempted child abduction in Lake Country

LAKE COUNTRY – RCMP are on the hunt for a man who tried to grab two, six-year-old girls in the Lake Country area Sunday afternoon.

Police say the suspect tried to lure the girls into a shed around 2:30 p.m., April 12.

The girls describe the suspect as a Caucasian man, about 40-years-old, 6’ tall with a medium build, short, straight brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing jeans and a white shirt.

They told investigators the suspect vehicle is small, dark green but not quite forest green, with black and blue seats with maybe some red.

Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the man or who may have witnessed the incident is asked to call the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. Remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online at www.crimestoppers.net or text to CRIMES (274637) ktown.

    I hope the parents find him first cuz all the police and our court system are going to do is give him a home 3 meals a day for about 6 months if that then he will be back on the street praying on innocent children. Why not he didn’t get much of a punishment the first time if it his first I doubt it. So here’s to the parents catching him first it’s the only way to truly end his praying on children….
