The Celebration of Traditions Pow Wow is a vibrant Indigenous gathering featuring traditional dance, drumming, song, and culture, scheduled for April 17-18, 2026, at Southern Okanagan Secondary School. The event includes public sessions Friday evening and Saturday, highlighting community spirit, regalia, and cultural heritage, offering a space for connection.
Venue
Southern Okanagan Secondary School (SOSS) is a public high school located in Oliver, B.C. (School District 53), serving roughly 470–485 students. Following a 2011 fire, a new facility opened in 2014, featuring modern, sustainable design, the Frank Venables Theatre, and a Neighbourhood Learning Centre. SOSS offers diverse programs, including Advanced Placement, trades training, and Indigenous education, with a focus on student resilience and community partnership
