Kelowna Actors Studio transforms into a Las Vegas cabaret theatre as renowned Impersonation Acts take the stage for a collection of intimate, WORLD CLASS performances.
Beat the winter blues with the “Winter Dance Party featuring Buddy Holly and Friends.” This concert is a modern revival of the original Winter Dance Party that took place 64 years ago. In January of 1959 Buddy Holly, Dion and the Belmonts, Ritchie Valens, the Big Bopper and Frankie Sardo set out on a twenty-four-day tour of the mid-western United States. The tour for Holly, Richardson and Valens would end in disaster on February 3, 1959, when all three would die in their charter plane crash on the way to the tour’s next stop. Remembered ever since as “The Day the Music Died,” these Rock n’ Roll legends had already made their mark in music history!
This show brings back the best hits of the original Winter Dance Party lineup and also includes songs by other stars of the era including Fats Domino, Roy Orbison, Bill Haley, Paul Anka and the rockstar ladies too (Connie Francis, Lesley Gore, and The Ronnettes). The King himself, Elvis, will even make an appearance! This show is sure to take you down memory lane, recreating the sound of the great ones while telling the story of Rock n’ Roll from the view of a new generation!
