Writing our first “Hello, World!” program – Data Types (like Strings, Booleans, Floats, and integers), Print Functions, and learning about Variables and Concatenation of StringsWe help young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively — essential skills for life in the 21st century. The Program is organized around a framework that we call the “Four P’s of Creative Learning”: Projects, Passion, Peers, and Play.It describes why and how parents and educators should provide children with opportunities to work on projects, based on their passions, in collaboration with peers, in a playful spirit. The ultimate goal: To help children develop as creative thinkers, so that they can create new opportunities for themselves and shape the world of tomorrow Python / Coding Class for Kids – Free image Python / Coding Class for Kids – Free imageArtificial IntelligenceAround the world, governments and companies are proclaiming that we are entering the “era of AI”. Using advances in artificial intelligence, companies are now producing devices that understand speech, cameras that recognize faces, cars that drive by themselves, and computers that identify patterns in huge databases of information. In the era of AI, the pace of change will continue to accelerate. Today’s children will face a never-ending stream of unknown, uncertain, and unpredictable situations. The key to success and happiness will be the ability to think and act creatively.InfoStudents will learn via Zoom. The instructor will have access to view their screens and help them with their code. Throughout the lesson, the instructor will explain how to do ONE specific thing at a time, for example, we will learn how to concatenate—merging & combining strings and then I will give several real examples- like how to print out a sentence from two separate variables “merged” together—for the students. Then, they will try on their own to do that ONE thing—for example, creating their own sentences with two variables in the same sentence. There will be a challenge combining everything learned in the course. Students will communicate with the instructor and each other via Zoom.We will take turns sharing our screens and our code. The class is approximately 1 hour.Student Tips for Participating in Online LearningHelpful tips for students success onlineMake sure you chrome browser installed on your deviceMake sure you’re muted when not talkingBe yourself and respect othersAsk questions using chatUse reactions to engage with your classThink before you writeUtilize the raise your hand feature if wanting to ask a question liveSet up an intentional space where the class is going to happen
