Runaway lane on Highway 3 comes in handy for logging truck

A logging trucker may have prevented a disaster on Highway 3 near Kootenay Pass.

A photo of the truck parked halfway up a runaway lane was shared to the Facebook page Skilled Truckers Canada yesterday, Feb. 17. 

"Hats off driver," the post says. "You recognized you needed the runaway lane in the Kootenay Pass today and took it. Kept it upright and no one was injured. Thank you for driving safe and aware."
